HEADLINE: The best foundation: Aravon

Aravon footwear addresses every aspect of the gait cycle, cushioning and supporting the feet and helping to keep your stride on the ideal neutral plane. That means better posture, less stress on joints, lower energy output and more comfort.

Aravon performance, heel strike to mid-stance
Cushioning in the sole unit and in the removable Velocor footbed help protect the heel and plantar fascia during heel strike. Several elements help minimize rear-foot motion. Certain Aravon styles have the T-Frame™ stability system that combines a supportive shank in the arch area with an extended heel counter in the rearfoot. Others use a contoured outsole with a deep heel cup to support the foot. Within the removable Velocor™ footbed in all Aravon styles there is a stability cradle that cups and stabilizes the heel to help keep the foot on the ideal neutral plane.

Aravon performance, mid-stance
As the foot moves from shock absorption to propulsion, the arch executes its remarkable flex. A blend of cushioning and support are necessary for this important phase. The durable, resilient material of the sole unit is molded to provide both cushioning and support to the arch. Within each sole unit there is either a T-Frame™ stability system, a stability shank or countouring to support the arch.

Aravon performance, propulsion
Gait that proceeds along a neutral plane with substantial arch support is the best foundation for efficient transfer of energy in forward movement. But Aravon doesn’t stop there. In all styles, the molded sole unit also contains a subtle metatarsal bump and in sandals there is also a slight toe bump to help with toe-off. Abzorb® cushioning is strategically placed to absorb and disperse energy in this phase.

Aravon performance, swing phase
While one foot is going with the flow of the swing phase of gait (and the other is mid-stance), it is enjoying the finer points of Aravon. Excellent fit is keeping the shoe comfortably in place. Soft-seam construction is reducing the chances of irritation. And the Ionact™ antibacterial treatment of the soft leather linings is maintaining a healthy environment where bacteria has a hard time gaining a toe-hold. At the end of a 10-hour day, you just might feel like going another three or four.
